Leading property consultancy JLL has appointed Nicola Cochrane as an associate director in its hotels and hospitality group, based in the Exeter office.
Nicola will be looking to grow the regional advisory/valuation business working alongside and supporting the existing successful agency business team which includes John Kinsey, Mike Easton, Adelle Moore, Lynne Biswell and David Slee, who works within project and development services, specialising in the leisure sector.
The collective team now represents the largest single, specialist hospitality team in the south-west of England, providing advisory, transactional and valuation services to a broad range of banks/ lenders, institutions and industry operators.
The introduction of valuation and advisory services to the Exeter hotels team reflects their desire to offer existing JLL clients a complete range of professional services and to also expand the business by attracting new clients.
Nicola has a number of years’ experience in the valuation of trading related assets in the South West and joins JLL direct from Taylors Business Surveyors & Valuers, having also worked previously for Christie & Co, also based in the South West.
She said: “My appointment within the JLL Exeter hospitality team is an exciting and fabulous opportunity; joining an internationally renowned property company yet working alongside experienced professionals within a regional team. The establishment of a new regional department offering trading valuations within the hospitality and leisure sector will not be without challenges but with the support of experienced colleagues and resources of a leading global company at my disposal, I feel confident of success.”
John Kinsey, lead director for the South West and Wales hotels and hospitality team, said: “This being JLL’s 25th anniversary of having an Exeter office it is especially great news to see the team being expanded. I am extremely pleased to welcome Nikki to the team. Her appointment represents a further step in JLL’s commitment to building our private client base in the hotel, public house and wider leisure sector.”
