This month saw the leading UK regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, complete the sale of its final speculative unit at Quedgeley West Business Park. The 29,100 sq ft unit has been occupied by interior building products distributor Commercial Ceiling Factors (CCF) Ltd., a subsidiary of Travis Perkins plc, the UK’s largest supplier of building materials.
The sale follows other recent deals between St. Modwen and Travis Perkins plc including the purchase of a 13,600 sf ft builders’ merchant facility at Great Western Park, Worcester and an agreement to build a 214,000 st ft, multi-million pound regional distribution centre at Whitley Business Park in Coventry.
Pete Davies, Senior Development Manager for St. Modwen in the South West, said:
“This speculative unit taken by Travis Perkins plc is the final building to be occupied at Quedgeley West Business Park and completes the redevelopment of this 32 acre former Ministry of Defence site, where 490,000 sq ft of distribution and industrial space is now occupied. St. Modwen is now delivering further new distribution and industrial buildings at nearby Gateway 12 Business Park. The first 40,000 sq ft unit will complete next month and is available to purchase or rent now.
Martin Meech, Group Property Director, at Travis Perkins plc added:
”We are pleased to be opening a new distribution centre in the south west for CCF. It has been great to work with St. Modwen once again and we look forward to the partnership continuing.”
Now complete, Quedgeley West Business Park, is one of four St. Modwen sites in Gloucestershire. The other sites still underway in the area are Quedgeley East Business Park, adjacent to Junction 12, Gateway 12 at Waterwells Business Park and the £150 million mixed-use Littlecombe scheme in Dursley.
