Bristol-based accountants Corrigan Associates has expanded with the appointment of Hayley Jones as audit manager.
Hayley, who previously worked for Baker Tilly in Hereford will spearhead the growing audit and assurance work for the practice, which is based in King Street, Bristol.
Principal Edward Corrigan said: “Many of our clients are growing businesses that expect more from their accountants than an annual visit. Often we fill the gap between a part time finance director and a traditional accountancy practice.
“As the number of accountancy firms registered to do audit work has decreased there has been a growth in the demand for our audit services. This has been particularly evident in the area of specialised audits such as solicitors, insurance brokers and charities.
“Hayley is an important addition to the team and will significantly expand our audit capability as well as carry out grant claim validation work for some of our high-tech clients and we are delighted to have her aboard.”
Corrigan Associates has grown 60 per cent in the last two years. In 2011 the firm advised Avonmouth based Ascent Scientific on the sale of its business to Abcam PLC for £10 million.
Hayley Jones is relocating to Bristol from her home town of Hereford.
