Byron, the group of hamburger restaurants founded in 2007 by Tom Byng, is to open its first store in Newcastle. CBRE advised Charles Street Buildings Group on the completion of a 25 year lease on the former H&M at 104 – 108 Grey Street, in the heart of the city’s historic centre. The restaurant opened its doors to the public on 24th September.
Ian Webster, Director in the National Retail Agency team said: “The opening of Byron in Newcastle is a great example of the growing trend we are seeing of A3/A4 sector moving into what was previously considered A1 retail prime pitch. It’s also encouraging to see an historic, listed building being brought back to life for the community to use following the exit of H&M”.
CBRE advised Charles Street Buildings Group while Barker Proudlove acted for Byron.
