An ambitious specialist investment firm which has doubled the value of funds under its influence in the last 12 months has relocated its head office.
Deepbridge Capital, which increased the value of funds under influence to £40m during the last year, has moved in to a 4,500 sq ft office at the Honeycomb Chester business community.
The company, which has also expanded from five to 20 employees over the last 18 months, had outgrown its previous head office on the Chester Business Park.
Founded in 2010, Deepbridge Capital provides tax-efficient investments propositions to financial advisers and private investors, in the life science, technology and renewable energy sectors.
The move to Honeycomb Chester has been brokered through Chester commercial property agents Beresford Adams Commercial and Legat Owen.
Ian Warwick, managing partner of Deepbridge Capital, said: “We’ve always been based in Chester and were previously in serviced office space on the business park.
“We require premises which allows us the space to grow further and which reflects our professional reputation. Honeycomb Chester ticked all of the boxes.
“The support we’ve had from the agents has been superb. They met the brief we were looking for perfectly, with Honeycomb East providing a head office that we are proud of.”
The move to a new Chester office also coincides with the opening of a new London office for Deepbridge Capital.
Honeycomb Chester is a business community featuring accommodation for up to 15 small- and medium-sized firms. Nearly two thirds of its space has now been let.
Formerly know as The Pavilions, the units can be fully fitted to a tenant’s specific requirements, providing a turnkey solution organised within an agreed, sensible timescale.
Fraser Crewe, director at BA Commercial, said: “Deepbridge Capital were looking for a comfortable, modern office space that also offered scope to expand further in the future.
“We looked at a few options, but Honeycomb Chester was the obvious choice, and I’m pleased that they’re satisfied with their new location.”
Will Sadler, associate director at Legat Owen, said: “It’s a very competitive market for office space of this caliber in Cheshire at the moment, and we’re under offer on a number of the remaining units at Honeycomb.
“There is however sill availability for office space of between 1,500 and 6,000 sq ft delivered bespoke to each tenant’s requirements.”
