CBRE’s Manchester Office Agency team and joint agent OBI Property have leased a 6,604 sq ft office suite on the 6th floor of Helical Bar’s Churchgate building on Oxford Street in Manchester City Centre to Progressive Digital Media on a 10 year term.
The letting follows the recent announcement that Workplace has opened its first venue within Churchgate, which has enjoyed a string of additional lettings to occupiers such as Clarity Travel and JISC since Helical Bar acquired the Grade II Listed Churchgate & Lee buildings last year and undertook a comprehensive refurbishment and remodeling programme.
Churchgate & Lee buildings provide a combined 250,000 sq ft of office accommodation with available suites ranging from 5,000 sq ft up to 20,000 sq ft. In addition, a new reception, which links through to the courtyard, offers unrivalled City Centre meeting and breakout space. Due to its recent lettings success, Helical Bar is now refurbishing additional space within the building.
Progressive is a content driven global media company with offices across the UK, US, Asia and Australia. Progressive is home to a diverse portfolio of premium business information businesses and is one of the world’s most respected publishers of magazines including the international award-wining “Blueprint Magazine” which has been bringing its readers architecture, design and art coverage for over 30 years. Andrew Wilson, Progressive Property Director, comments: “CBRE’s valued understanding of our business has allowed us to move quickly into a strategic office location in the city.”
Kirsty Littleford, Associate Director of Office Agency at CBRE’s Manchester office, comments;
“The latest letting to Progressive Digital Media adds to the lettings success Churchgate has received since its re-launch in May last year. The historic and attractive property offers some of the largest floorplates in the city and following Helical Bar’s investment into the building, it’s easy to see why Churchgate has fast become one of the most sought after office locations in the city.”
