Premier law firm Foot Anstey continues to invest in talent to support its future growth strategy.
Over the past twelve months the firm has put in place a pioneering legal apprenticeship scheme and increased its number of new trainee solicitors.
In offering two different routes into the legal profession, Foot Anstey is supporting access to the law more than ever before. The firm has seen a record number of applications for the chance to start a career with an award winning firm.
Ramsey Mirza, HR director, explained: “We consistently invest in our people to ensure our clients have access to the best lawyers. Foot Anstey lawyers are given top class training and the opportunity to see how our nationally acclaimed experts support the ambitions of our clients.”
Last year Foot Anstey was amongst the first in the country to put in place a dedicated legal apprenticeship scheme as an alternative to the traditional university route to becoming a lawyer. Six apprentices joined on the first intake of a three-year programme – an initiative which has been praised in the legal industry and awarded by Weston College as ‘New Apprentice Employer of the Year.’
The firm has also increased by fifty percent the number of positions it makes available for the traditional trainee solicitor route from university. The trainee solicitors will work with the firm’s regional, national and international clients on a two-year contract alongside some of the firm’s top lawyers.
“We are very proud to welcome our new trainees and apprentices to the firm and are deeply committed to supporting more opportunities to enter and progress in the legal profession,” continued Ramsey.
