Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has created a South West “commercial property powerhouse”, providing a range of new services across a wider region, according to its new head of office.
The national commercial property consultancy has welcomed a team of highly experienced property and business asset specialists from recently acquired ES Group into its Bristol headquarters, home now to more than 70 chartered surveyors.
Chris Price, who was at ES Group for 26 years, has been appointed head of office in Bristol while Darren Sheward becomes head of South West region. The Bristol HQ will work closely with offices in Exeter, Cardiff and Swansea.
LSH announced earlier this year that it had acquired ES Group – a well-respected, 260-strong, consultancy-led business with a major presence in many UK regions.
It adds a range of expertise to the LSH South West team, including market leading valuation and corporate recovery advice for banks and accountancy firms. It also puts LSH at the forefront of the fast-growing alternatives market, particularly in hotels, caravan parks, care homes, healthcare and energy sectors.
As well as boosting property expertise, the acquisition adds the largest team of experienced business asset and plant and machinery valuers and auctioneers in the region. This team provides a range of services covering the valuation and sale of all types of business assets for a wide variety of clients and holds approximately 30 online auctions annually.
ES Group’s entire Bristol team has relocated from Harford House in Frogmore Street, where the company was based for more than 20 years, to LSH’s offices at Tower Wharf, Cheese Lane.
Darren Sheward welcomed the new arrivals: “I’m delighted to welcome our colleagues from ES Group into the LSH family. Bringing together ES Group’s highly skilled team with our own very well established business makes for a powerful combination.
“It significantly reinforces our presence in Bristol and right across the South West. We are in an excellent position to take advantage of all the opportunities a buoyant commercial property market offers.”
Chris Price said: “Bringing together more than 70 surveyors all under one roof – offering a wide range of services and specialisms – means we are a commercial property powerhouse in this region.
“We have a team with expertise and strengths that complement each other perfectly and I am excited at what the future has in store for our business.”
