Northamptonshire based Prop-Search has been appointed to market the first speculative industrial development in Corby since the recession.
Due to complete in late summer 2015, the 13,567 sq ft industrial headquarters building at Shelton Road, is being developed by C Davis Properties Limited and is in response to a lack of supply in the area. The site was previously used for the open storage of vehicles.
Richard Baker, a Director of Prop-Search, said: “We are delighted to be bringing forward a development which has already received strong interest from occupiers. The industrial market has seen no new development for several years and it is great that a new building is now coming out of the ground.”
“Demand is significant for units between 10,000 sq ft and 20,000 sq ft and we predict that the success of this development will give confidence to other developers, to also construct new buildings in the area.”
The property comprises a detached unit of steel frame construction and will feature integral two-storey offices of 1,086 sq ft, a minimum eaves height of 8m, level access and dock-level access loading doors. The site will also provide for car parking up over 30 vehicles.
Prop-Search is seeking to let the unit on a new lease with terms to be agreed.
