A local mechanical and electrical contracting company is celebrating a strong first half of the year. Highadmit Projects Ltd, in Beddau, Pontypridd, has successfully completed several projects, including completion of the Admiral Insurance building in Newport, ahead of schedule and within budget.
The high profile contract was completed two weeks ahead of schedule, resulting in in SDC Construction awarding Highadmit Projects the contract to fit a new classroom block at the prestigious private school, Kimbolton in Cambridge.
In light of these recent successes, the company, which provides electrical and mechanical contracting services, and undertakes small, medium and large contracts through the UK, has been awarded the Regional Supply Chain contractor award from BAM Constructions, which is based on on-site performance. Highadmit Projects’ bank Lloyds, also nominated the company for the prestigious IoD Wales Director of the Year awards for Family Business and they were shortlisted within the highly competitive category.
The company, which was established in 1993, has also successfully completed contracts with Cardiff Bay Police Station and 3 Quayside, also in Cardiff Bay.
Mekola Tuchli, Managing Director for Highadmit Projects, said: “We have had a good first half this year. Completing the Admiral Building was a very big accomplishment we always work hard to meet deadlines and to get work off the back of the completion is fantastic. Being recognised by two well-respected bodies as well is great for us and testament to the hard work the team does.
“We want to thank Lloyds for nominating us for the IoD Director of the Year Awards. It is an honour to be recognised for our efforts and for Lloyds to have faith in us and put us forward for a prestigious award is much appreciated.”
