Leading law firm Geldards has further expanded its nationally renowned real estate team with the appointment of commercial property expert Leanne Cook as a senior associate.
Moving from local firm Flint Bishop, Leanne joins Geldards’ Derby office following the two recent partner appointments of Heather Dixon and Tiffany Cloynes to Geldards’ growing real estate team.
Specialising in property development work associated with commercial sites, Leanne advises clients on acquisitions, occupational leases, completion of planning agreements, forward sales and funding agreements.
Graham Banks, real estate partner and head of Geldards’ Derby office, explained: “Leanne’s excellent reputation, both locally and beyond, makes her a valuable addition to Geldards.
“The commercial real estate market remains increasingly competitive and our clients expect a comprehensive level of service. Adding Leanne’s experience considerably boosts the strength of our real estate team and enables the firm to continue to deliver innovative and cost effective legal solutions to our wide range of clients.”
Having worked within the field of commercial property for the last 10 years, Leanne has also built up vast experience of landlord and tenant matters and acquisitions and disposals of leasehold and freehold sites.
Along with playing a key role in the firm’s UK-wide real estate practice, Leanne is also set to support Geldards’ multidisciplinary automotive team which specialises in acting for motor vehicle retailers, manufacturers and their support networks.
Leanne said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an ambitious team and firm that continues to look at ways of developing its wide client base and improving the already high level of service it provides clients.
“I look forward to working as part of a nationally recognised real estate team, whilst also working closely with colleagues in other practice areas to help further develop the firm’s offering within the automotive sector.”
