Harris Lamb has welcomed a new graduate surveyor to its expanding building consultancy team.
Jonathan Powell has joined the consultancy’s Birmingham office having graduated from the city’s university in 2014.
Having gained experience at a smaller consultancy, Jonathan’s experience includes managing a portfolio of commercial property, supporting planned maintenance, project managing refurbishment and improvement projects and overseeing dilapidations surveys and subsequent claims.
Jonathan was attracted to Harris Lamb thanks to its extensive experience, excellent reputation and client portfolio.
Jonathan said: “The team’s experience is second-to-none and I am confident that my colleagues will support me with the experience and knowledge that I need to guide me on my way to qualifying as a chartered surveyor.
“A strong commercial portfolio and a diverse range of projects also appealed. I’ve also instantly clicked with the team, which makes the role all the more enjoyable,” he added.
Paul Wells, Director of Building Consultancy, said: “Harris Lamb ‘s ongoing recruitment drive has rewarded us with a number of talented new colleagues, and we’re delighted to welcome Jonathan on board.
“Having been raised and educated in Birmingham, and having attended Birmingham City University, his knowledge of the region is exemplary, and the experience he has gained during the course of his degree gives him a firm foundation to build on as he continues to work toward his goal of becoming a chartered surveyor.
“We are committed to helping our graduate colleagues achieve their goals, providing on-the-job training and support, increasing responsibility and further career development opportunities during their time with the business. We are confident that Jonathan will be a strong asset to the team,” he added.
