Acting on behalf of our client, English Developments, Primmer Olds have succeeded in letting the last three remaining retail units at The Mall, Chandlers Ford.
Two adjacent units fronting the main road have been let to Wessex Cancer Trust as they continue their expansion of sites in the Hampshire region. In addition, unit 10 has been let to a nail bar operator who are also broadening their business following the launch of a bar at 445 Bitterne Road, Southampton.
The local shopping centre, which was opened back in 1988, is home to 15 retail units comprising on average 550 sq ft. The Mall is known for its strong footfall and significant shopping numbers which have no doubt increased dramatically following the opening of Waitrose supermarket in 2002.
Primmer Olds have achieved great results with lettings in shopping centres having dealt with Totton Shopping Centre and Dukes Mill Shopping Centre, Romsey, in the last few months.
Primmer Olds have also recently let a former travel agents office in Shirley to a chain of hairdressers.
Celly’s Hairstyle International has taken occupation at 72 Shirley High Street, previously tenanted by the UK based Thomson Holidays, to add to their current portfolio of 37 shops.
Shirley High Street and Shirley Road has fluctuated over the years in terms of popularity with varying degrees of occupancy, however recently we have found enquiry levels have increased and new occupiers being found for vacant units.
This deal follows the recent sale of 415 Shirley Road and the letting of a 4,000 sq ft retail shop at the back of Tesco which Primmer Olds secured at the beginning of the year.
