A cutting-edge software solutions company has opened a new office in a former church in Harnham.
Bruhn NewTech has moved into the attractively converted building in Netherhampton Road, Harnham, on a six-year lease. The agents were quoting a rent of £10,500 per annum.
The grade-II listed building, formerly a school, was successfully marketed by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
Dean Speer, a partner at Myddelton & Major, said: “Attracting innovative multi-national companies of the calibre of Bruhn NewTech is a coup for the Salisbury area.
“The company will see the benefit of being located in a character property in a quiet close to, but out of, the city centre.”
He added: “The two-storey former school has been attractively converted, with offices and a cloakroom on the ground floor plus two offices on the first floor open to the eaves.”
Bruhn NewTech is based in Denmark with offices in the United States and UK.
It develops software solutions to help the military and the public sector monitor and countermeasure chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats.
Myddelton & Major have also recently let Unit 6, Paxton Business Centre on Salisbury’s Churchfields Industrial Estate, to local charity Wessex Community Action.
Dean Speer, a partner at Myddelton & Major, said: “Wessex Community Action provides a wide range of support and services including training courses, community transport and project management.
“They can also supply vehicles for hire, with drivers; providing transport for weddings, airport transfers, private hire, school transport and day care centres.
“We are pleased to have been able to help such a worthwhile charitable organisation secure this base on the modern 11-unit Paxton Business Centre.
“Demand for Churchfields premises is always keen and we see strong demand whenever a unit comes on to the market.
“Anyone interested in keeping up to date with developments should contact us.”
Wessex Community Action signed a six-year lease for the unit on Whittle Road.
