The Bristol office of leading property advisers CBRE is celebrating a successful move to a new office in the city following a period of sustained growth.
The firm now occupies the flagship 13th and 14th floors of Clifton Heights, Bristol’s highest building, having been based at Howard House for the last nine years.
Offering spectacular views across the city, the move to the new 8,000 sq ft penthouse offices has been driven by CBRE’s expanding portfolio of clients and staff numbers, with the team now over 50 strong. This includes five new appointments in recent months, with Andrew Jackson (Graduate Surveyor), Katie Bohin and Lucy Miles (both Senior Surveyors) among the new recruits.
Garry Hicks, Managing Director of CBRE Bristol, has been with the firm since it started out in the city in an attic office in Berkeley Square with just four members of staff back in 2003.
He said: “We have come a long way in a relatively short space of time and are focused on proving excellent client service and continuing to grow and expand the business over the next few years. Our aim when moving was to provide staff and clients with a first-class, agile working environment in line with our global branding, and Clifton Heights ticks all of those boxes. We look forward to building on our position as one of the major players in the South West and South Wales markets.”
CBRE Bristol started out specialising in agency and professional work but is now a leading force in property management, building surveying and investment services. The firm has a reputation for advising on some of the biggest Grade A developments in the city, and was recently appointed to market the £100m development of Aspire, which at 200,000 sq ft is set to be the largest single office scheme ever delivered in Bristol.
The firm’s Bristol office also has a strong footprint in the retail sector and has been heavily involved in some of the region’s leading shopping destinations including Cribbs Causeway and Southgate Centre in Bath, as well as acting for many national retailers including Primark and New Look.
