Cellnovo, a multi-national company that is breaking new ground in diabetes care technology, has expanded within SA1 Swansea with Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) negotiating the deal.
Acting for the landlord, the national commercial property consultancy has let Suite 19, a 970 sq ft first floor office in the J Shed with LSH negotiating three year lease terms and the transaction sealed within just 48 hours of the property going on the market.
Cellnovo, which also has an office at Ethos building, also situated within the £200m SA1 development views the new office as key to their continued expansion plans.
“This is a high specification space in a pleasant environment next to the Prince of Wales Dock and of a size that will allow us to expand further in line with our growth plans,” says Louise Thomas, Cellnovo’s office manager.
“The company was set up in 2002 and in that time we’ve grown to a current headcount of 75 in the UK and at our head office in France with further plans for recruitment. Ours is a specialist business where we’ve developed the first connected all-in-one mobile diabetes management system designed to make coping with diabetes easier.”
As well as making life easier for those with diabetes, Cellnovo also relieves the stress experienced by parents of diabetic children as it brings peace of mind through live updates of blood sugar levels and insulin dose.
“The speed with which this property was snapped up illustrates the appeal of the SA1 development and its strength as a good strategic location particularly for businesses in the tech sector,” comments Tom Rees of LSH’s agency team.
“The J Shed has wide appeal given the high quality of the interior of the accommodation which includes a mezzanine floor, passenger lift and video intercom plus it’s within walking distance of the city centre and only a four mile drive from the M4.”
The J Shed is an award-winning Grade II listed building which was once a granary warehouse.
