Tenovus Cancer Care has strengthened its presence in north Wales with the acquisition of a new retail outlet in Mold.
Wales’ leading cancer charity is opening a new shop at 44 High Street in the centre of the town.
The refurbished property has been leased by the charity and will be the 66th shop in the charity’s chain across Wales and England.
Susan Newcombe, Head of Retail at Tenovus Cancer Care, said: “Our charity shops are a huge source of income for the work we do but also act as community hubs for those seeking advice about cancer. It means they can come in, speak to us in the shop and see how our services could help them or their loved ones.
“We hope that through our new shop, we’ll be able to raise more money that will help us support even more people affected by cancer in communities right across Wales, including right here in Mold.
“Tenovus Cancer Care brings treatment, emotional support and practical advice to where it matters most; the heart of the community to continue helping cancer patients and their loved ones.”
Haydn Thomas, of agents Hutchings and Thomas Chartered Surveyors, who identified the property for the charity, said: “We were delighted to have been able to secure this property for Tenovus Cancer Care.
“The new shop, which is located in the centre of Mold close to banks and a variety of multiple and specialist retailers, should be ideal for their requirements in terms of footfall and attracting new customers.”
Hutchings and Thomas Chartered Surveyors acts for Tenovus Cancer Care in terms of property matters throughout Wales.
The new Tenovus shop in Mold is due to open towards the end of next month (September)
