Trebor Developments, West Midlands Commercial Developer of the Year, working with Rockspring have submitted a detailed planning application for their speculative 113,500 sq ft industrial development to be undertaken at Redhill Business Park, Staffordshire, close to J14 of the M6. The development will be marketed as “Triton”.
Redhill Business Park is about to become extremely busy as Alstom commence construction of a major manufacturing facility on Plot 7 and have also submitted a planning application for another major manufacturing facility on Plots 3 and 5 combined. Together with the Trebor/Rockspring speculative industrial development this will leave only 2 plots at Redhill Business Park available and will establish the Park as the premier manufacturing location within Staffordshire.
Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner Trebor, on behalf of the joint venture commented: “The submission of the planning application is the next step to bringing forward delivery of this major industrial facility and we are also launching the marketing of the unit which will be known as Triton. Subject to consent of the application we anticipate a start on site with the development by January 2016, which will deliver completion of the unit in summer next year”.
Mark Winnington, Economy Leader, Staffordshire County Council, commented: “Redhill will soon be a flagship business park with the Trebor and Rockspring development coupled with Alstom’s new facilities. We’re pleased to see the formal application submitted by Trebor and Rockspring as it is another milestone and step forward for this site and the county’s economic growth. Redhill’s near full occupancy is further testament to our hard work and demonstrates the commitment by our business partners to Staffordshire. The site has many attributes which are attracting business and we know it won’t be long before the final two plots are occupied. As development gets underway and business operations start, it ultimately means more jobs for people in Staffordshire.”
