One of the UK’s leading commercial refrigeration companies is set to launch a new base in Buckinghamshire – bringing new jobs and investment to the region – after acquiring a warehouse unit in a £2.57 million deal.

Eco-Fridge Ltd has bought a 65,750 sq ft unit at 18 Top Angel at Buckingham Industrial Park and plans to open the new facility soon as it expands its operations, leading commercial property agency Kirkby Diamond has announced.

Eco-Fridge is one of the UK’s leading commercial refrigeration companies, supplying high quality display fridges and units to some of the world’s most recognisable retail brands in the private sector and high profile organisations in the public sector.

Its large range of commercial refrigeration units are suitable for a variety of environments from high street coffee shops, cafes and delicatessens, to school cafeterias and large commercial canteens.

The commercial refrigeration company has its headquarters in Bicester, Oxfordshire, and customers include household names such as Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero and Wine Rack.

Eco-Fridge anticipates the new warehouse and office space will provide significant growth opportunities for the business and create jobs for local residents.

Kass Traboulsi, director of Eco-Fridge, said: “We’ve been enjoying steady and sustained growth, which has put us in a very good position to establish a new base in the area. Kirkby Diamond helped us find the
right premises for our needs.”

Luke Tillison, director of industrial and logistics at Kirkby Diamond in Milton Keynes, said: “Eco-Fridge was in the market for a freehold warehouse and properties like this are few and far between. We are therefore very pleased to have been able to conclude a deal with Eco-Fridge which sees the area welcome another successful business, bringing with them major investment and creating job opportunities.”

Strategically located between the M1 and M40, Buckingham Industrial Park has convenient commuter accessibility to Milton Keyes and Oxford. Eco-Fridge will be joining other large occupiers of the park including Natco Foods, Stratford Tools, Vetoquinoal UK, Puratos and Wipac.  The modern two-storey property boasts five tailgate loading bays, a covered loading bay, a well-sized secure yard, extensive parking and quality offices.
