GBR Phoenix Beard has agreed a five-year lease of 2,565 sq ft of office space at 22 Gas Street, Birmingham to creative agency and digital marketing specialists Clever Cherry. The agency employs 30 people and has relocated from their previous premises in the Jewellery Quarter to the prestigious canal side offices. Clever Cherry’s clients include Marston’s, Yale, Drayton Manor Park and Cameron Homes.
Letting agent, Joe Shorney of GBR Phoenix Beard said:
“22 Gas Street is building a reputation as a hub for the creative industries and its location in the heart of Birmingham’s vibrant entertainment and city centre living district is a real draw for staff.”
Nigel Wilson, Clever Cherry’s Managing Director, added:
“With Birmingham as one of Europe’s most investable locations, a move out of the city was never in question. The building is the perfect new home for us – in the same building as ITV Central and within walking distance of The Mailbox, Brindleyplace and the fast-growing business district.”
Clever Cherry joins ITV whose Midlands’ headquarters are located here, as well as Carl Zeiss Vision, and LHM Media. CBRE are joint letting agents. The scheme was sold earlier this year to Brydell, a new city-based investment group, who bought the 53,000 sq ft office building for around £12 million from Cube Real Estate. As well as being joint letting agents for 22 Gas Street alongside CBRE, GBR Phoenix Beard is the retained property management company for the scheme. Since completing the purchase of 22 Gas Street, Brydell has achieved full occupancy of the scheme within a relatively short timescale.
