A Redditch building firm has expanded into new premises with the help of property agents John Truslove.
Abbey & Lyndon Builders has moved from Headless Cross, purchasing Unit 5, Shawbank Road, Lakeside, in a six figure deal.
Chief executive Dave Auld said: “We have been around a long time, we’ve got an excellent reputation, and this gives us extra space.
“Inquiries have been encouraging in 2015 and our new premises will suit our expanding business.”
The family business, established in 1969, undertakes all aspects of residential and commercial building work including extensions, disabled adaptations, barn conversions, new builds, commercial maintenance, roofing, office refurbishment, painting and decorating, UPVC window installation and structural repairs.
It takes on contracts of up to £500,000 or so utilising a team of up to 30, both employees and sub-contractors.
Abbey & Lyndon has contracts with Redditch Borough Council including looking after approximately 6,000 homes in the town for roofing and guttering needs.
Past clients include a range of churches and schools, Halfords, Hagley Hall, the home of Lord and Lady Cobham, Bournville Trust; and Worcester property consultants and estate agents G Herbert Banks.
Ian Parker, a director of John Truslove, said: “Abbey & Lyndon are one of the bedrock Redditch businesses.
“The town is always looking to attract newcomers and bring in fresh blood. But equally it is wonderful to see a long established company that is integral to Redditch doing well.”
