One of the Midlands’ largest accountancy and consultancy firms is expanding its presence in Birmingham –following a high-profile merger.
Moore Stephens, one of the UK’s top ten accountancy firms, is to significantly strengthen its team based on Calthorpe Road in Edgbaston on the back of its merger with Chantrey Vellacott earlier this year.
The combined firm has been providing accounting and consultancy services for more than 330 years and is part of the Moore Stephens International network, which has a turnover of $2.7 billion and offices in 105 countries.
Suk Aulak, Head of the Birmingham office at Moore Stephens, said: “The combined firm provides our clients with a broader range of expertise, along with an increased depth of sector knowledge and experience, and access to wider UK and global capabilities through the Moore Stephens UK and international network.
“The merger has also opened up exciting opportunities for growth. The partners and staff are central to our growth strategy going forward, and we’re pleased to be in a position to significantly strengthen our senior audit team in the region.
“The firm is growing fast, and to support the expansion we’re in the process of bringing in a number of bright, enthusiastic qualified audit seniors with experience of working with SMEs to large corporates, across a range of sectors, including property and construction, manufacturing, technology, charities and not-for-profit.
Moore Stephens is the UK’s ninth largest independent accounting and consulting network, with a total turnover of £162.4 million and over 1,700 partners and staff.
