Virgin Media has become the latest addition to Nottingham’s intu Victoria Centre after opening on 4th July.
The television, phone and broadband provider has taken up a new unit on the upper mall and is the latest in a string of retailers to open their doors at the centre, which is nearing the completion of a £40m refurbishment.
Nigel Wheatley, general manager at intu Victoria Centre, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Virgin Media into the centre as it becomes the latest in a number of retailers coming into the centre.
“There have been a number of new brands move into the centre since we started remodelling works – including recent additions Holland and Barratt, Swatch and KIKO.
“The retail mix at the centre has never been as attractive to our customers as it is now, and we are excited to continue to improve this as we draw closer to the completion of our remodelling works later this year.”
It is expected that the multi-million pound remodelling works at intu Victoria Centre will complete before the end of the year, delivering a comprehensive upgrade of the centre including new floors, ceilings, lighting, toilets and entrance features – many of which customers have seen take shape over recent months.
Work on a brand new Clocktower dining area is also well underway, which will deliver a host of new restaurants – including handmade burger Co, Joe’s Kitchen, Coast 2 Coast, Tortilla and Ed’s Easy Diner. A new feature entrance around the centre’s Grade II listed Clocktower on Milton Street is also being created.
“We have a very exciting few months ahead as the remodelling works come to an end and we look forward to welcoming a number of new restaurants to not only the centre itself, but also the city,” added Nigel.
