The Nottingham office of Bruton Knowles property consultants have added another service to their client offering in the region with the appointment of experienced building surveyor Tom Burton.
Tom joins the 14-strong team at the firm’s city centre office in Castle Gate from Innes England, where he spent almost five years working as a key member of the building consultancy team, from the inception of the firm’s service line.
Before his time at Innes he worked for Gerald Eve, in their Birmingham office, where he achieved chartered status. Earlier experience was also gained as a placement student at Faithful + Gould.
Tom, who takes on the role of associate at Bruton Knowles, said he was thrilled to be starting a new phase in his career and that his skills would bring a new offering to the table for the Bruton Knowles Nottingham team, whilst complimenting the existing team’s services.
He said: “I’m excited at the prospect of developing a building consultancy team here in Nottingham for Bruton Knowles. A key part of my role will be increasing the awareness of the building consultancy faculty and assisting in increasing the local presence of the firm and its offering across the East Midlands.
“My areas of specialism include both project consultancy and professional services, inclusive of design, specification and contract administration services, together with technical due diligence, dilapidations matters and services to protect the interest of both owners and occupiers alike, across all commercial property types.”
“I see my appointment at Bruton Knowles as a fantastic opportunity for development in my own career but also for the firm – with a view to establishing Bruton Knowles as the preferred choice for building consultancy services both in the East Midlands and the wider UK.”
Partner at Bruton Knowles in Nottingham James Bailey said he was delighted to welcome Tom to the firm’s growing team in the region.
He said: “Tom brings a new and invaluable skill set to our team in Nottingham with a wealth of experience in building surveying across all manner of properties.
“He will be tasked with developing his own team to cover the East Midlands from our Nottingham office – which will strengthen our presence locally and improve our suite of services for both new and existing clients.”
