Birketts, the top 100 law firm based in the East of England, has advised Nwes Property Services Ltd (Nwes) on its acquisition of Rouen House and subsequent letting of a substantial part of the building.
Nwes has granted a lease to Norwich Practices Limited (NPL) for the re-location of the Norwich city centre Walk-in Centre and GP surgery (formerly located at Castle Mall). NPL already occupies part of the building and the new Walk-in Centre is operational, with the project due to be fully completed in early September.
The move will mean that the public has easy access to first-line medical treatment in the city centre. In addition to the walk-in centre and surgery, the building is home to some of Norwich’s leading companies including leading online and building consultancies and oil and gas supply chain organisations. Nwes will continue to deliver high-quality, flexible workspace to young and high-growth businesses in the heart of Norwich.
Bhargav Trivedi, senior associate in Birketts’ commercial property team, commented: “We are delighted to have advised on this complex project and look forward to continuing our relationship with Nwes in relation to other lettings of the building.”
Kevin Horne, CEO of Nwes, said: “Such a high-profile tenancy situation required the very best legal partnership to ensure a seamless process. Birketts understood our requirements and provided the support and flexibility we needed to enable the move to Rouen House and make certain that the vital services NPL provides to the public could be delivered on time.”
Birketts was recently recognised as the only firm in East Anglia to have achieved ‘National Leaders (outside London)’ status in the real estate category.
