Construction of a £38 million industrial and warehouse development that will create up to 1,100 jobs in Staffordshire has taken a huge step forward as the installation of the site’s access bridge nears completion.
Work has begun to lift enormous beams into place across the West Coast Mainline, providing the deck for the access bridge into Liberty Park, Lichfield, just off the A38.
Next Saturday (July 4), engineers hope to complete the job with ten 33-tonne concrete beams, flanked by two 40-tonne beams, being lifted into place. It means vehicles will soon be able to travel across the bridge.
Liberty Park, Lichfield has consent to deliver approximately 441,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse accommodation. Work on the infrastructure is on target to be completed by October and immediate turnkey packages are available for potential occupiers.
Andrew Blevins, managing director of developer Liberty Property Trust said: “The new access infrastructure which is opening up the development site, has been jointly funded by Staffordshire County Council and Liberty and will be completed by October. Since Liberty Park was launched it has already attracted interest from potential occupiers well placed to create jobs and economic growth for the region.”
Liberty Park, Lichfield is being constructed by development partner Stoford and marketed by letting consultants CBRE and NRS.
