East Midlands property developers Sladen Estates have this month announced the appointment of new construction manager Mark Starie-Johnson as part of the company’s continued growth plans and after the acquisition of several major development sites in the UK.
The 49-year-old, who has previously had a variety of site and project management roles at firms such as Westleigh Homes, Lace Market Properties and Taylor Woodrow, will be working on a number of key projects for Sladens.
Among the sites he will deliver are the much anticipated Unity Square development opposite the railway station in Nottingham – a landmark new scheme comprising Grade A offices as well as a hotel, retail units and leisure space, mixed retail and employment scheme called Park 66 in Bury and the 45 acre Summit Park industrial scheme at Junction 28 of the M1.
Mark said: “I am very excited to join such a high profile and dynamic business with development schemes located throughout the UK and I hope that my 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, predominantly in a management capacity, will further strengthen the current development team.
“I’m very much looking forward to working at Sladen Estates and believe I can put my experience to good use with an innovative and forward thinking firm.”
Nick Sladen of Sladen Estates added: “We welcome Mark into the team and are delighted that he will be bringing his considerable experience to the fore with projects around the country.”
