Pedal power has seen a director at Nottingham-based law firm Cleggs Solicitors raise £900 for charity.
Ian Torr pedalled 25 miles in The Great Notts Bike Ride on 21st June for When You Wish upon a Star – the event’s charity partner – as part of Nottingham Cycle Live weekend.
The money raised over the course of the weekend will help to grant the wishes of children affected by life threatening illnesses.
Ian is a regular cyclist and was more than happy to play his part in joining the event and raising money for such a worthwhile charity.
“It was a great atmosphere and for a brilliant cause,” he said “We are keen to support our local charities wherever we can.
“We are thrilled to have raised £900 for When You Wish upon a Star,” he added.
Jean Brydon from Cleggs Solicitors also took part in the charity ride completing the 50 mile route along with almost 5,000 participants.
Charity bikers set out on either a 25, 50 or 100 mile ride depending on ability. The routes went through Wilford, The Vale of Belvoir, Elton, Kilvington, Car Colston, East Bridgford and further afield for the longer routes before finishing at the Embankment.
