A leading independent East Midlands estate agency and chartered surveyors has incorporated and become a limited company.
Richard Watkinson & Partners, which specialises in the sale and letting of residential and commercial property in the region from its eight offices across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, became incorporated this month (1 June).
Nine new directors have been appointed as part of the switch, which forms part of the firm’s continued expansion strategy.
Richard Watkinson, founder of the firm, said: “Becoming incorporated is a significant milestone for us and one that supports our plans to further grow the business within the East Midlands.
“We have been selling and renting properties across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire for more than 25 years and are excited about the next chapter and what that will bring.
“A number of our staff have been with us for many years – some even joined us from school and have been with us ever since, and it is wonderful to be able to reward those people with directorships as they continue to drive the business forwards.
“We have an excellent reputation in the region as property experts and this new business structure will allow us to continue that into the next generation, while continuing to provide the day-to-day customer service that people expect from Richard Watkinson & Partners.”
Richard himself, Kirsty Keeton, Simon Watkinson, Alistair Smith, Amy Tillson, Ben Matthews, Ben Mardel, Rachael Grange and Jeanette Gilbert all take up posts as directors of the new limited company.
Kirsty added: “This is an exciting move for the business and something that we are all very supportive of as we look to further expand our market share across the region.
“It is very important in what is a fast-paced industry to keep innovating and offering our clients the very best service that we can, and this move is an important part of continuing to do just that.”
