The Real Italian Pizza Company has announced it will be launching its first restaurant in Cardiff.
The family-run business has signed a 15 year lease with Curzon Real Estate to occupy a 1,400 sq ft unit on Trinity Street.
Creating over 15 jobs, The Real Italian Pizza Company will be open from August 2015 and will have the capacity for 120 diners including the al-fresco seating of 24.
The new restaurant will be the first for the family-run business outside of Bath and is part of larger UK expansion plans for the company.
The landlord Curzon Real Estate was advised by retail and leisure property specialists EJ Hales.
This is the latest deal advised by EJ Hales, which has acted for a number of landlords in Cardiff bringing in eateries including Côte, GBK, Bill’s and Carluccio’s.
Owen Cahill, associate partner at EJ Hales, said: “The Real Italian Pizza Company will be a great addition to the Cardiff food scene as it will bring something different. Cardiff is fast becoming a hub for restaurants, especially independents, which is ideal for customers as it provides plenty of choice. We hope The Real Italian Pizza Company will be able to replicate their success in Cardiff and we wish them the best of luck for the opening.”
Tim Coffey of The Real Italian Pizza Company, said: “We’re really excited to launch our restaurant in Cardiff. We have experienced excellent success in Bath for serving quality homemade pizzas. Cardiff really appealed to us as an up and coming city which is really making its mark on the food scene, particularly with independents. EJ Hales has been extremely helpful with agreeing terms with Curzon Real Estate and we are looking forward to an exciting future in Cardiff.”
Rod Thomas of Curzon Real Estate, said: “We are delighted to sign a long term lease with The Real Italian Pizza Company. The family-run business has a great vision for its Cardiff restaurant and we have no doubt it will be a success with customers.
