Property agents from across the Midlands got together to toast BG 87 – a major new speculative industrial warehouse being delivered by St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, in Burton-on-Trent.
The guests attended a breakfast event at Opus Restaurant in Birmingham to find out about the 87,000 sq ft warehouse which is due to be built by the end of the year.
To celebrate BG 87, and in recognition of Burton’s rich beer brewing history, St. Modwen presented guests with bottles of its own Gateway Gold ale which was specially brewed by local brewery Tollgate.
BG 87 will be the first speculatively-built unit at St. Modwen’s new Burton Gateway Industrial Park, where it has outline planning permission for up to 1 million sq ft of industrial units. This makes it one of largest industrial and warehouse developments in the Midlands, which is set to create up to 1,500 jobs.
Ian Romano, senior development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “We took the decision to deliver this speculative unit in response to the increasing demand for warehouse space in the buoyant Midlands market.
“It reflects our belief and confidence in Burton Gateway as a high quality product we are bringing to the market.”
