Leslie Jones Architecture has added to its senior team with the promotion of Simon Brown to Associate.
Simon brings 16 years of experience in technical delivery for both commercial and residential architecture to Leslie Jones’ senior team. He has led on the technical aspect of a number of the practice’s flagship schemes, including the London Designer Outlet for Quintain – the first of its kind within London’s M25 as well as current projects including Charter Place in Watford for intu and The Moor in Sheffield for Aberdeen Asset Management.
Simon originally joined Leslie Jones in 1999 and after a short period exploring other roles re-joined the practice in 2012. His experience also includes a wide variety of residential and mixed-use schemes.
James Cons, Managing Director at Leslie Jones commented: “Simon joins the senior team at a time when our national and international portfolio is growing, with current projects including development of the commercial design strategy for the future Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central and, in the UK, Queensberry Real Estate’s Friars Walk, Newport. Simon’s extensive experience in delivering technical solutions for complex projects across commercial and residential schemes is crucial to our full service offering in existing and new regions.”
Another of Leslie Jones’ rising stars, Malcolm Clarke, has passed his RIBA Part III qualification – the Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture – at London Metropolitan University. He is now a fully qualified architect in the UK and eligible for Chartered Membership of RIBA.
James continued: “We are proud to see all levels of our practice thrive. Malcolm’s achievement follows one of our most successful years to date, which saw Lucy Riordan and Helen Chandler pass their Part III qualifications, and we are sure all three will continue being an integral part of Leslie Jones’ success.”
