Care operator Sevacare has expanded its Midlands operation taking new office space in Birmingham.
In a deal put together by property agents Bond Wolfe it has agreed a five year lease for 1,750 sq ft on the 2nd floor at Hagley Court in Edgbaston.
Originally based in Walsall, Sevacare has its headquarters at Pendeford Business Park in Wolverhampton.
It provides more than 100,000 hours of care per week, employs more than 4,750 staff, has 48 branches and provides services in London, the Midlands, the South, the North of England and South Wales.
Founded in 1998 by Ravi Bains, originally to serve the black and minority ethnic community, the company states: “Planned and incremental growth will continue in the coming years as we seek to cement our position in the home care market place.
“We are currently developing and expanding our provision of more specialised services, in particular support for people with learning disabilities, and will be looking to develop further our community-based work with people with mental health problems and expand our support to people living in Extra care schemes.
“The Government is seeking to change the way in which care and support in people’s homes is delivered, such that service providers can offer greater choice and flexibility to those for whom they care.
“Sevacare is at the forefront of this drive for change, backed by the use of the latest technology and an ethos that embraces continuous improvement.”
So far this year it has opened three new branches in Southampton, Wakefield and Basingstoke.
One of the top five domiciliary care providers in the UK, Sevacare joins recruitment group Pertemps who occupy the ground floor at Hagley Court.
There is one floor remaining to let.
James Mattin, Bond Wolfe managing partner, said: “Sevacare is a quality business – we are very pleased to have attracted them to Hagley Court.
“This deal is further evidence of the improving local office market.”
Hagley Court, which has been recently refurbished, is located at the junction of Chad Road and Vicarage Road, with direct access onto the A456 Hagley Road, one of the main arterial routes into Birmingham city centre.
