Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers (Hunter) has appointed award-winning site services partner, Elior, on a five year contract to introduce and manage the major new amenity offering at the 433,637 sq ft Exchange Quay office complex in Salford Quays.
Work is currently underway on a £10m refurbishment programme at Exchange Quay to upgrade the six office buildings to Grade A specification and completely remodel the entire public realm. A key part of the extensive works is the creation of a vibrant working environment through the introduction of a range of occupier facilities which will also be complemented by the opening of PureGym Manchester Exchange Quay.
Elior is working with Exchange Quay’s project team, principally AA Projects and Keppie Design, to establish a new amenity offering comprising a new food and retail offer which it will manage upon completion. The facilities will incorporate a new restaurant with live cooking theatre, a Costa Coffee branded coffee outlet and a Londis Retail Shop.
As part of its contract Elior will also provide a hospitality service to Exchange Quay, which will cater for meetings, events and functions.

Elior UK operates operate high profile catering contracts across business and industry, health and care homes, defence, education, stadia and venue sectors, delivering quality, great tasting food to more than a quarter of a million people each year.

The full works at Exchange Quay are set to complete in Q3 2015.
Exchange Quay’s six office buildings range from 26,151 sq ft to 116,684 sq ft. The development, which also boasts its own dedicated Metrolink tram stop, is strategically located just off Trafford Road which links Salford Quays to both Manchester City Centre and the major motorway networks via the M602.
High profile occupiers such as Winning Pitch, Kin-Tec Electronics and Sage UK are in occupation at Exchange Quay and it was recently announced that GlaxoSmithkline Research & Development Ltd (GSK) has signed a deal for 9,830 sq ft in Number 4 and Boxchange Associates has signed a 5 year lease for 1,400 sq ft. The deals to new tenants GSK and Boxchange follow on from four additional recent lettings totalling over 13,000 sq ft to new occupiers Wurth Electronics and North West Employers, and existing occupiers, international consultancy RPS and marketing agency K2L.
