A brand new cycling-only store is set to open in Maid Marian Way in Nottingham, following a deal by property consultancy Innes England.
The new Cycle Republic store, part of the Halfords family, is designed to deliver convenience, premium editions and expertise and an extensive range of parts, accessories and clothing.
Cycle Republic will be joining many other successful businesses in Maid Marian Way, such as Bairstow Eves, Calcutta Club and the Lee Stafford Academy; alongside the new student scheme for Kaplan, which also comprises a new bar/restaurant operation called Oaks by Hilton Hotel.
Ben Taylor, head of retail agency at Innes England, handled the deal on behalf of the landlord with Paul Nicholson at Savills acting on behalf of Cycle Republic.
Ben said: “This is arguably one of the most prominent units on Maid Marian Way, having a 25m frontage, and, unsurprisingly, there were a number of retailers expressing interest.
“Having Cycle Republic choose to open one of its new stores in Nottingham is testament to the city proving we remain an important choice for retailers looking to expand in the major cities in the UK. It shows the city is being recognised as a fantastic place to do business.”
The retailer secured the property in April and is now trading.
