A major employment-led scheme, strategically located to the east of Nunnery Way and at a gateway to the edge of Worcester, has been given the go-ahead by Worcester City Council, bringing a further boost to the local jobs market.
St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has been granted outline planning approval for Nunnery Park, a 20 acre mixed-use development, which incorporates new business and employment units, trade counter units, business and industrial units, as well as a vehicle showroom, a family pub restaurant and a drive through restaurant.
Up to 500 jobs could be created on the completed scheme. In addition, numerous opportunities will become available during the construction process, providing a boost to local contractors, suppliers and the local economy generally.
Situated on the A4440, Nunnery Park lies between Junctions 6 and 7 of the M5, making it an ideal location for businesses requiring both local, regional and national connectivity.
Julie Rossiter, senior asset manager at St. Modwen, said: “The development we have planned for Nunnery Park is a hugely significant scheme for Worcester, which will create up to 160,000 sq ft of new employment space and associated uses.”
Nunnery Park is an appealing, high quality development in a strategic location between Junctions 6 and 7 of the M5, incorporating sympathetically designed buildings and enhanced landscaping with woodland and wildflower planting.
The proposed development is already attracting a significant amount of interest from local and national occupiers and St. Modwen is already progressing with the detailed design of the scheme.
St. Modwen is dedicated to improving Worcester’s employment offer, and the Nunnery Park scheme that has now been approved by council planners is just one of the UK’s leading regeneration specialist’s employment-led developments in the city.
The regeneration specialist is already a major investor in Worcester, owning several strategic employment sites and is currently progressing a number of mixed-use, employment and residential developments in the city.
Gregorys Bank, a St. Modwen Homes’ development, boasts a collection of two, three and four bedroom properties, with a range of house designs to choose from. Offering real kerb appeal, each property boasts traditional red brick and features stone detailing with many having bay windows. Situated adjacent to the Birmingham and Worcester Canal, Gregorys Bank is located just two miles from Worcester city centre making the most of the nearby shops, restaurants and parks.
St. Modwen also owns and manages the 275,000 sq ft Shrub Hill Industrial Estate, which has more than 90 occupiers, and Great Western Business Park, where it has recently completed the construction of 25,000 sq ft of new employment space on a speculative basis. A further phase of 60,000 sq ft is planned for the business park for later this year.
