Skanska has pre-let 3,000 sq ft (279 sq m) of office space at 66 Queen Square, Bristol, to Handelsbanken.
The Swedish banking group has taken the part of the ground floor space, which will be available for occupation in September this year, on a 10-year lease at a rent of £28.50 per sq ft (£307 per sq m).
Alex Jordan, Skanska’s leasing director, said: “This is a great covenant to secure, complementing our main tenant KPMG. There is now just the fourth floor, comprising 3,200 sq ft (297 sq m), and the self-contained 72 Queen Square (3,000 sq ft or 279 sq m) available to let.”
The development totals 61,000 sq ft (5,667 sq m), of which 52,000 sq ft (4,831 sq m) will be occupied by KPMG, following its pre let in January 2015.
Situated in the heart of Bristol on the historic Georgian square, the development of 66 Queen Square will complete in September 2015. The grade-A office space combines a new five-storey building integrated with a fully modernised and refurbished grade II listed Georgian terrace building, and offers fantastic views over the square and city
The building incorporates sustainable features for long-term energy efficiency, including photovoltaic panels, a high-performance building fabric, LED lighting and water-saving fittings to meet the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard and achieve an EPC A rating.
