Cardiff Waterside, an Aviva Investors supported scheme in the heart of Cardiff Bay, has announced that leading national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has become its latest tenant.
In a move that sees Clarke Willmott establish a base in Wales for the first time, Cardiff Waterside can announce that it has taken 2,850 sq ft of space at its Emperor House building, on Scott Harbour, Pierhead Street. This sees Emperor House close to maximum capacity with a further 2,288 sq ft also currently under offer.
The announcement reinforces once again the attraction of the waterfront environment at Cardiff Waterside, not just for existing Welsh companies but for UK organisations looking to establish a foothold in Wales for the first time.
The news also means that across the whole Cardiff Waterside office development, consisting of 420,000 sq ft, less than 8 per cent of office space is currently available.
Mark Sutton of Knight Frank and Ben Bolton of Cooke & Arkwright, the joint agents for the development commented:
“We are delighted that a growing company like Clarke Willmott, with six other office locations around the UK, has chosen Cardiff Waterside to set up its Welsh headquarters.”
Stephen Rosser, chief executive, Clarke Willmott, adds: “Geographical expansion is very much part of our new three year growth strategy and responds to an increasing demand for our specialist sector focussed services.
“We’re bringing some well-known industry figures to Cardiff, who will help us to build on the work we are already doing in South Wales. The new office is in an ideal location for us; it has a great sense of business community and is right at the heart of the successful Cardiff Waterside estate.”
