Rapleys recently acted on behalf of Red Recruitment to acquire new premises within Units 5 & 6 Colston Tower, Bristol. The space extends to c. 3,600 sq ft and benefits from A1/A2 consent.
Red Recruitment began by offering both temporary and permanent office staffing solutions to businesses throughout the South Wales region. Within such a competitive marketplace, the business quickly established itself as a market-leading, independent consultancy and was subsequently recognised by being awarded several accolades, including runner-up in the Welsh Small Business of the Year 2004 Awards and 5th Fastest Growing Company in Wales 2005.
Further expansion led to the opening of a Bristol office in 2004, and, more recently, in Gloucester and Swindon. However, the business outgrew their original Bristol premises and, at lease expiry in 2014, sought to relocate to new prominent premises in central Bristol. Unfortunately, the business was forced out of their old premises and has been operating from serviced premises until now.
Rapleys worked closely with Red Recruitment to shortlist suitable premises within striking distance of the Floating Harbour. Following an extensive search, negotiations with Russell Power of Rowley Hughes Thompson resulted in the acquisition of leasehold premises at Units 5 & 6 Colston Tower to provide a new flagship base for Red Recruitment.
Jennifer Lemen-Hogarth, Associate at Rapleys, commented that:
“This deal shows the commitment of a market-leading recruitment business to Bristol. Rapleys worked closely with Red Recruitment to secure a favourable market incentive package and flexible lease terms, which will help Red Recruitment in their mission to become the leading independent recruitment specialist in the UK. This shows their commitment to match growth in market share with internal investment, ensuring that the quality levels and passion for their business are maintained and reinforced.”
Simon Penn, Director at Red Recruitment, commented that:
“We are thrilled to have secured such a great location in central Bristol, the significant increase in square footage enables us to continue to expand on our staffing levels in line with the growth of our business. In what has been an arduous process at times, the support and expertise of Jen at Rapleys has been most appreciated, and we look forward to welcoming candidates and clients alike to our fantastic new premises.”
