Bilston-based Barton Storage Systems Ltd, a leading storage and materials handling solutions provider has acquired, via its pension fund, the freehold of its existing premises in a move intended as a long-term investment. Legal advice was provided by Wolverhampton-based solicitor Andrew Wynne of FBC Manby Bowdler.
Established for over fifty years, Barton Storage is based on the Barton Industrial Park in Bilston and has enjoyed consistent growth since being bought by the current management team in 2003. When the existing landlord of Unit A where Barton Storage is based announced that it planned to sell the freehold, the company directors identified a long-term opportunity as Keith Bibb, Managing Director, explains:
“Being well-established in our existing premises we could see the opportunity that purchasing the freehold would bring.
“The business is doing well and growing steadily so the opportunity to purchase occurred at a good time for us. It made good financial sense and will provide a long-term investment for.”
The management team at Barton Storage now intends to invest in the facilities in order to provide a modern and comfortable working environment for its growing team, as well as ensure the protection and future value of its investment.
Andrew Wynne at FBC Manby Bowdler comments: “Having worked with the team at Barton Storage for over ten years, we have seen how their consistently sound business practice has allowed them to continue growing.
“The purchase of the freehold of the premises that they were already occupying made good commercial sense and it has again been a pleasure to support them on the next stage of their business’ evolution.”
Concluding with the reasons why Barton Storage continues to turn to FBC Manby Bowdler for legal advice, Keith Bibb said: “The team at FBC Manby Bowdler has always shown professionalism and genuine care when dealing with our needs and I’d have no hesitation in engaging them again on similar property related projects.”
