Holland & Barrett, the UK’s leading retailer of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, is planning to extend its national headquarters in Nuneaton.
The company is working with Coventry-based contractor and developer the Deeley Group – the firm behind the 30-year regeneration of the whole Bermuda area – and has submitted an application for a further 4,500 sqm of office space at Eliot Park.
The extension will see a further 80 job roles created by Holland & Barrett at Eliot Park and, in partnership with the Deeley Group, the company has kept local residents informed of its plans through direct mail.
Pat Moroney, of the Deeley Group, said: “This would be a further economic boost to the area in what is a wonderful example of regeneration.
“The fact that a national company of Holland & Barrett’s status and standing has chosen Eliot Park as its headquarters location and is now extending that commitment is great for the local economy.
“Our overall project at Bermuda has received very positive recognition recently after being shortlisted for three industry awards.
“And this is a further example of the positive effect it continues to have on the community from an economic point of view, which has been backed up by improved social and leisure provision.”
The designs for the new extension have been drawn-up by Robothams Architects, based in Warwick.
Roger Craddock of Holland & Barrett, said: “It is great news that we are able to consider extending our existing site and with 80 new job roles created off the back of the extension we can continue to support the local community without having to leave Nuneaton, a town that has become the heart of Holland & Barrett.”
