Law firm Lodders, which has offices in Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham and Henley in Arden, has retained accreditation from Lexcel, the Law Society’s international practice management standard, and Investors in People (IIP), both for the sixth consecutive year.
The independent joint Lexcel and IIP assessment involved a detailed review and investigation to ensure the firm has maintained the necessary standards of good compliance practice, high standard of client care, excellent legal advice, staff development, and case management.
The Lexcel assessment report highlights that ‘good compliance practice has become embedded throughout the firm through a combination of careful and regular monitoring, support and training’.
It also states ‘the firm has many long-standing clients and has built its reputation on offering excellent advice in an accessible way’. Further praise is given to Lodders’ succession plans for key staff that form part of its strategic planning, and the support provided to staff ‘to develop their skills and expertise and make good client care paramount’.
Lodders also retains its IIP accreditation, which it has held continuously since 2009. The report describes the firm as ‘forward thinking, friendly, supportive and professional’, and makes particular mention of the recognition of its people as its ‘key resource’.
It also highlights Lodders’ ongoing commitment to improving its business by developing staff and services, and acknowledges the firm’s steady growth in turnover, profit, and staff numbers, in particular at its Cheltenham office, where staffing has doubled since it opened in October 2013. It also identifies Lodders’ key strengths as including effective strategic and business planning processes.
Commenting on the double accreditation success for the firm, Lodders’ Compliance Manager Samantha Haines said: “The firm is delighted to have retained both Lexcel and IIP accreditation for the sixth year running. It is particularly rewarding to receive commendation for Lodders’ culture and good compliance practice that are embedded throughout the firm.
“The firm has adapted to meet the demands of changing market conditions, but its underlying aims have remained the same – to provide outstanding legal advice and client care. We are pleased to have received excellent feedback about the quality and standard of our client care, alongside recognition of the supportive environment for all staff.”
