Alan Pearson, Director of FHP Property Consultants, is delighted to announce a further leisure letting to Italian restaurant, Zizzi who have taken a 3,000 sq ft unit, due to open this summer, opposite Eat Central, Wagamama and TGI Friday’s.
This follows the opening of Byron and Joe’s Kitchen which are due to open this spring. Enhancing intu Derby’s dining choices forms part of the Intu’s plans to create a quality shopping experience, which offers a varied blend of retail, dining and leisure.
Marc Ward, Group Head of Acquisitions at Azzurri Restaurants said:
“intu Derby provides a perfect location for us to open a new restaurant and our affordable and family friendly food offer will complement the centre’s mix of retail and leisure. Our restaurants are the perfect place to treat a loved one on a special occasion, to get together with friends or enjoy a relaxed pre-cinema Italian meal and drinks”.
The addition of Zizzi will further enrich intu Derby’s restaurant provision by providing a variety of restaurants for its 25 million annual customers to enjoy throughout the day and into the evening. As a gateway to the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales which both attract high levels of tourism, intu Derby is an essential shopping destination and intu is focussed on creating the perfect environment for customers to shop, eat and relax.
Martin Breeden, Regional Director of intu said:
“We have been very pleased with the performance of catering within the centre and the strength of demand for new restaurants. We have got 25 million visitors per year so we are very confident that Zizzi, Byron Burger and Joe’s Kitchen will all trade well at intu Derby. These brands give customers a reason to visit us more often and stay longer, which in turn helps our shops and restaurants to flourish.”
Alan Pearson, Director of FHP commented:
“The catering offer in the centre is going from strength to strength with this letting to Zizzi, following the recent additions of Byron and Joe’s Kitchen, joining the centre’s line up. They are scheduled to open in May and June respectively. We are actively seeking to enhance the leisure offer provided to the centre’s shoppers in the city’s principle retail and leisure destination, intu Derby”.
FHP and Central Retail acted on behalf of intu, and JLL acted on behalf of Zizzi.
