Two friends, who have over 30 years’ experience as accountants, have launched a brand new firm in Bristol.
Danny Stevens, 30, and Alyson Davies, 39, say they have opened Pure Professionals on Alma Road in Clifton in order to give businesses and individuals a dynamic and innovative approach to accounting.
The pair, who have worked for various firms in the city, left their previous jobs to set up their own general accountancy practice.
Danny comments on the firm’s plans: “From previous experience we felt businesses weren’t getting the support and service they always deserved from some of the larger accountancy firms, so we have launched to try to plug this gap.
“How? Well Pure Professionals is committed to adding value, rather than treating businesses as cash cows. For us the days of billing by the hour and the accountant being a necessary evil are over.
“Accountants that don’t adapt to advances in technology and the future economy will get punished; which is why we are determined to be part of shaping the future of professional services.”
Despite only recently opening, the firm has already landed several new clients.
Alyson says the company also has ambitious plans going forward; and will be hosting an official opening event in July.
She comments: “We want to open new offices, create new jobs and work alongside businesses to help them grow. Everybody says they’re different but we really believe we are and feel our young and disruptive approach will be good for business owners in this fantastic and thriving city.”
Pure Professionals offers a wide range of accountancy services including support services, compliance services and taxation. The pair have defined themselves as general accountancy practitioners and have experience across a wide range of sectors.
The company is a strong advocate of online accounting packages and can guide clients through the process of converting to an online system to give them a more streamlined approach to accountancy.
