Leading independent management, design and construction consultancy Pick Everard has been shortlisted for three Celebrating Construction awards in the East Midlands (19 June).
The firm is nominated for two awards in the Integration and Collaborative Working category for its work as project managers on Loughborough College’s new £15m performing arts centre as well as the partnership with Scape.
Pick Everard is also shortlisted in the BIM Project of the Year after impressing judges with its other two entries.
Duncan Green, managing partner at Pick Everard, said: “Adopting a collaborative approach is essential to the success of the work that we do, and we are very pleased to have that recognised through these two award nominations.
“Under the Scape framework, we work closely with everyone from contractors to architects to deliver excellent results to clients on time and within budget – and the new performing arts hub at Loughborough College was a fantastic example of this.
“Acting as project managers on the scheme, we adopted the use of aligned processes and clear communication channels among the involved parties to encourage shared solutions and the delivery of innovative approaches to drive value and ultimately deliver high quality learning and social spaces for students.”
Duncan is also delighted to see the firm’s expertise in BIM recognised at these awards, he said: “As a business, we have really embraced BIM and are seeing many of the benefits originally proposed by the government.
“It is testament to the hard work of our team that Pick Everard has received an additional shortlisting in this category.”
Pick Everard is up against Anglian Water for its ‘Love Every Drop’ campaign and Robert Woodhead’s ‘Repairs and Maintenance Framework’ in the Integration and Collaborative Working category. Also up for BIM Project of the Year are B&K Structures and EOS Facades.
This is the first time that the Celebrating Construction Awards have taken place in the East Midlands having become an established event in the neighbouring West Midlands.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Nottingham Belfry on 19 June.
