Companies and organisations will have the chance to do business with more than 1,500 people when a popular networking exhibition returns to Sheffield.
Organisers have announced the next SheffEX will take place at Ponds Forge on Monday 1 June as part of a week-long Sheffield Business Festival.
The festival, which runs from 1 to 7 June, is celebrating the best of Sheffield City Region business by profiling local events taking place during the week, from industry talks and workshops to open days and CSR activities.
SheffEX, which is sponsored by Business Sheffield, will attract delegates and exhibitors from across the Sheffield City Region and the wider Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire areas for business exhibitions, expert lectures and workshops and networking sessions at Ponds Forge.
Tickets are now on sale and exhibitors at this year’s event will include Evoluted, Stroma Certification, Arden Winch and Carillion.
Tony Carroll, one of the SheffEX organisers, said: “This will be the third time we have run SheffEX and the popularity of the event keeps growing each year.
“In just a few weeks since launching, we have already sold more than half of the 130 exhibitor spaces, so we’re encouraging businesses to sign up soon so they don’t miss out on the chance to make new contacts, opportunities, deals and profits at SheffEX.”
Sheffield City Council, through Creative Sheffield, invests approximately £1m in services to support businesses in the city. The services are delivered through Business Sheffield and are free to businesses and completely impartial.
Kevin Bennett, head of business growth at Business Sheffield, said: “SheffEx is an event by Sheffield business people for Sheffield business people and one that we are delighted to be involved with this year.
“We’re passionate about supporting the creation and growth of businesses in the city, which is why we decided to sponsor SheffEx as its ethos is all about celebrating and showcasing the best of our region’s business community.”
Five local charities and good causes are once again being invited to apply for the opportunity to take a complimentary stand at SheffEX.
Organisations such as the Cathedral Archer Project, South Yorkshire Community Foundation, Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and Yorkshire Air Ambulance have previously been chosen to exhibit.
