Evolve Estates has purchased the freehold interest in a vacant public house and the surrounding site at 1 Shenley Road, Borehamwood for an undisclosed sum, with potential for a mixed-use development.
The London-based property company has signed a 15-year lease with Sainsbury’s to occupy the ground floor of the existing building. The retailer will operate its convenience store concept.
Dan O’Keefe, Partner at Evolve Estates, comments: “This is a prominent site on which we will rejuvenate the derelict public house building and look to create residential accommodation on the upper floors, bringing the site back to life.”
