Skanska has acquired the long-leasehold interest of 51 Moorgate, London EC2 from Corpus Sireo in an off market deal. The building comprises 45,000 sq ft (4,181 sq m) of office space.
Neal Pickering, Skanska UK’s Development Director, said: “This is a strategic purchase for us, as we continue to build our portfolio in the UK. We are actively looking for further development opportunities in London and Bristol.”
Savills advised Skanska on the purchase.
Skanska, under the Workplaces by Skanska banner, is currently developing The Monument Building in London EC3 (Pictured), which will provide 94,000 sq ft (8,733 sq m) of office and retail accommodation over 10 floors and which will be completed in May 2016. In Bristol, Skanska has topped out at its 61,000 sq ft (5,667 sq m) office development at 66 Queen Square, the majority of which has been pre-let to KPMG. And in Bentley, Doncaster, Skanska recently redeveloped, let and sold a ‘deep green’ workshops facility for its Cementation business – developed to the highest environmental standards.
