Herbert R Thomas (HRT Commercial) has been appointed to the HSBC bank panel to conduct its commercial valuations.
The agent will now be able to conduct commercial valuations up to the value of £1 million for the major bank across South East Wales.
HRT Commercial was selected after demonstrating its knowledge and commercial experience across the South East Wales region.
This is the latest bank panel appointment for the company, which is also on the panels for Principality, Allied Irish, Lancashire Mortgages, Handelsbanken, Monmouthshire and Swansea Building Societies, TSB and Shawbrook.
Targeting major bank panels has been a key focus for the commercial agent having appointed senior commercial surveyor Jonathan Davies in 2014, who has a wealth of experience working with major banks and building societies.
Jonathan Davies, senior commercial surveyor at HRT Commercial, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to several major bank panels and building societies. Over the years, we have witnessed an increased willingness from a number of banks to lend, which is leading to an increase of commercial valuations, so by being appointed to these panels, it really opens up a new market to us.
“It is a rigorous process to become part of the panels, which often involves drafting sample reports or answering questionnaires, so it’s a great achievement to know our hard work and dedication has been recognised. We’re looking forward to continuing to expand our work in this market in the future.”
Daniel Rees, Relationship Director at HSBC, said: “It’s extremely important to us to have high quality advisors that we trust to ensure valuations reflect the true worth of the property and we felt HRT really demonstrated their knowledge and experience and were very honest throughout the whole process. We are delighted to have them as part of our bank panel advisors and look forward to working with them on future projects.”
