A leading national electrical company is powering for expansion in new premises in Salisbury.
Denman’s Electrical Wholesale is relocating its branch on the Churchfields Industrial Estate from Brunel Road to Unit A in Telford Road.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiated a 10-year lease on behalf of the landlord Hansteen UK Industrial Property Trust with an asking rent of £23,000 per annum.
Denman’s Electrical Wholesale has 77 branches nationwide and is part of the multi-national Rexel Group.
Dean Speer, a partner at Myddelton & Major, said: “Denman’s relocation to an improved location on Churchfields demonstrates the company’s ongoing confidence in the city and the local economy.
“Rexel is the largest electrical distributor in the world. With the benefit of newly refurbished and sizeable premises, the company will be able to continue its expansion as one of the many leading national chains on the estate.
“We are seeing rising numbers of businesses seeking larger or better located premises as they record continued growth moving into the Spring.”
The new unit measures 4,012 sq ft (372 sq m).
Denman’s Electrical Wholesale, which is the trading name of Rexel UK Ltd, has 77 branches nationwide.
Established in 1946, the Bristol-based company was acquired by the Rexel Group in December 1999.
